William Mason has been a wine merchant for over 19 years now which is not only very depressing for him and his bank manager but also highlights a liking for the finer things in life as well as an astounding lack of ambition! With this in mind it would be a lovely idea if you were to take things further and browse through this website seeking the wine gems that are assembled within.
William Mason Fine Wines Ltd has been trading since 1997. We specialise in providing customers with wines that are ready for drinking and do not require years in a wine rack before they are ready to be uncorked. We cover France extensively and are finally starting to go along with the excitement that is building around Italy and Spain. New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Chile and Argentina are other obvious areas of interest. The bottom line is that we buy on a commercial basis and will not buy wine just because it is written about by a journalist or indeed comes from a grape or wine region that no-one has heard of!

We offer a unique and fairly extensive Fine Wine List but we hope you will agree that the wines are well chosen and generally only come from the finest vintages and producers. Do remember that some lesser vintages can offer spectacular value. I have opened a few bottles of 1993 Claret recently that have been very good glasses of wine at terrific prices.
These wines can and often are purchased under bond so they are priced as such in the FINE WINE SECTION. Please bear in mind there will be duty (£16) and VAT to be paid. The rest of the Site is all priced up including VAT.
